Paul Simon Gets Bryning Tribute
Singer-songwriter Paul Simon is the epitome of cool. He married Princess Leia, wrote some awesome music and appeared in one of my favorite Saturday Night Live sketches of all time: One-on-one vs Connie Hawkins. It only makes sense he would eventually get his own series of tribute shows.

According to Pitchfork, The Brooklyn Academy Of Music will put on a grouping of shows entitled Love In Hard Times: The Music Of Paul Simon, which will feature a number of special guests including David Byrne and The Spanish Harlem Orchestra. The tribute will be broken into three parts. The first will celebrate Simon’s Broadway flop The Capeman, with the last two touching on Graceland and a general overview of his music, respectively.

The performances will run throughout April. Make sure and pick up your tickets quickly. 600,000 people attend his concert in Rome; so, I’m pretty sure he can sell out small theaters in New York City.
