Play Guitar Like Joe Perry For $50

A deep bass and drums throbbed through the walls of the lobby of a friend’s apartment building Saturday night as if some major bash had already started without me. Low and behold as I waltzed in to the place, it was all coming from plastic. As the replicate drum kit and matching guitar lay around the hardwood floor some moments later, I was handed two drumsticks and thus began my very first soiree into the Guitar Hero phenomenon.

Though I failed miserably at trying to hit more than five notes in a row (on easy level) to Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t So” I’m sure fans of Guitar Hero will be more excited than me to hear there is yet another version coming out – this time entirely dedicated to Aerosmith.

Hitting stores in June Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is the first version of the game to devout all songs to just one band. It will span the entire career of the Hall of Famers from “Dream On” to “Walk This Way” and “Sweet Emotion” including obscure and forgotten tracks – which will hopefully include “Pink.”

The game will cost around $50 with pre-orders available on the bands website. I heard rumors on the local radio station that in order get to the bands classic songs, gamers must first beat some of Aerosmith’s lesser known tunes. My question is – does Alicia Silverstone make any appearances?
