Was anyone else devastated when Blink-182 broke up? Okay, maybe devastated is the wrong word, but I was a little disappointed. They may not have been The Clash, but something about the combination of Mark, Tom, and Travis was just so goddamn fun. If John Lennon wrote about changing the world and Paul McCartney penned silly little love songs, Blink-182 talked about growing up: the angst, the awkward fooling around, and the boundless fun. There will always be a place for that.
According to Billboard, that place may reopen sooner rather than later. The recent horrific plane crash Travis Barker survived and the unfortunate death of long-time producer Jerry Finn have prompted Tom and Mark to speak for the first time in three years. No triumphant reunions or new recording sessions have been announced as the trio continue to work on reconnecting as friends, but communication is always better than no communication.
