According to Music-News.com, The Verve is working on a new album and has extended their upcoming reunion tour, adding a second Manchester show. This week, the band confirmed plans to play a series of gigs in December after selling out six comeback concerts this coming November, Music-News.com reports. Saturday, the Britpop icons confirmed a second gig at Manchester's Central venue after the first sold out within minutes of going on sale that morning. The band has also been speaking about their decision to reform, with recordings for a fourth album underway. “We're not here to get on the f*cking couch,” frontman Richard Ashcroft explained. “We've got our lives, we've got kids, we've got our wives.” “There's a lot of sacrifice goes on making a record and we're prepared to do that,” Ashcroft added. “‘Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life Try to make ends meet; you’re a slave to money then you die.”
