Remy Ma Found Guilty Of Shooting 'Friend'

Rough week to be a backup rapper. Busta Rhymes and Eminem collaborator Remy Ma was found guilty on two charges of assault by a non-forgiving New York courtroom Thursday. A weeping Ma was taken, handcuffed out of the courthouse for being convicted of shooting a friend in the midsection outside a New York nightclub last summer after accusing the friend of stealing $3,000 from her purse. Ma, naturally, fled the scene, only to crash the SUV she was riding in a few blocks down, where she was later arrested.

The former Terror Squad lyricist will find out her fate at her April 22 sentencing, where she faces up to 25 years in jail. Ma labeled the incident “an accident” during proceedings, right after denying shooting the woman all together. Ma has had a quite a few months dealing with the case – along with her manager who put his home up for collateral to pay for her $250,000 bail out of Riker’s Island days after the shooting. Not to self: if ever the opportunity arises, avoid clubbing with mildly famous New York rappers. The outcome is - more often than not - quite vicious.
