The music industry is filled with lots of wild-haired bozos. My job is to write articles about them. Then, I must scroll through hundreds of possible pictures of the aforementioned wild-haired bozos to find the perfect snapshot to accompany the news story. I’m a bit of a jokester; so, usually, I find a particularly goofy image. Not for this article. Nope. I’ve just spent the last fifteen minutes examining some new Scarlett Johansson promotional shots for her new album that found their way atop my desk, courtesy of Faded Youth, and well, let’s just say I’m in a better mood than I should be–on a Thursday–at work.
The pictures are for Scarlett’s debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head, which seduces its way into stores on May 20th. The eleven song LP includes ten Tom Waits’ covers, as well as a duet with androgynous genius David Bowie (who rarely looks like a wild-haired bozo).
