Sonic Little Feat And The Charlie Daniels Special

There’s been an increasingly strong push, of late, for concert organizers to offer fans an eclectic bill. Hell, Lollapaloza pretty much markets itself on booking bands from all genres, but Dickson Street Music Festival has just shat all over every feeble attempt at diversity every attempted.

According to Pitchfork, organizers of the Fayetteville, Arkansas super-concert have tapped Sonic Youth, Charlie Daniels, Little Feat, Shooter Jennings, and of course, .38 Special. How the hell does anyone even brainstorm a group this bizarre? I’d throw five dollars down right now on this being nothing more than some avant-garde psychology experiment which measures confusion levels.

Whatever. I’m still hell-bent on going. The gig is scheduled to take place on the 25th and 26th of April, with the rest of the line-up likely to be announced within the next few weeks.
