Springsteen To Follow Petty As Super Bowl Talent?
Read this next story with a skeptical eye. Supposedly, Bruce Springsteen will follow in the wake of Tom Petty, Prince, and Janet Jackson as the Super Bowl Halftime Show’s main attraction. But, as of right now, the only publication claiming as much is the New York Post, who simply cited the notorious anonymous source as their tipster. No one else, including Cinema Blend, has been able to confirm or deny this.

According to Variety, executives from the NFL refused to comment on the possible Boss bonanza, which means the end result is anyone’s guess. More than likely, the truth lies somewhere in the middle, as in, the NFL may possibly be in talks with Springsteen for the gig without having sealed the deal.

If this ends up working out, viewers should be in for quite a Halftime treat, as Springsteen is notorious for his wonderful live performances. I wouldn’t expect it to surpass the Beijing Opening Ceremonies, but then again, I’m not sure anything will.
