The Police Sell Out More And More ShowsAuthor: Lexi Feinberg

Snagging a ticket to a Police concert is becoming trickier with each passing day. It brings to mind the old sweepstakes motto: many will enter, few will win. Ever since Sting and the boys declared they were hitting the road again after a couple of decades off, they’ve been selling out venues left and right. We reported about the first batch last week, and now the list continues.
According to Billboard, the Police sold out shows in Denver (Pepsi Center), Seattle (Key Arena) and Oakland (McAfee Stadium) over the weekend. Giants Stadium and Dodger Stadium met the same fate on Monday, selling 56,000 tickets and 52,000 tickets, respectively. It’s a given that this tour is already a smash success. No doubt we can predict this one will climb to the top of 2007’s most lucrative concert lists (move over Stones, Madonna). For fans who still haven’t managed to grab a ticket, they have added a few more shows in the aforementioned cities: Denver’s Pepsi Center will be graced by their presence on June 9-10; likewise for Seattle’s Key Arena on June 6-7. If you still have no luck, you might want to try to send an S.O.S. to the world. Can’t hurt at this point. Check Out More CB Music Stories Here |
