The Verve Reunite, Record, Release New Vid

The Verve is a band I always forget to love. Not until they resurfaced late last year did I remember how much I appreciated bone-protruding spacey jam-band Brit rockers. Falling off the face of the earth for nine years usually does a number on a musician's career, but The Verve seem to have picked up where they left off. They've re-garnered the buzz they so haply abandoned in 1999 due to reasons not exceptional to any given collection of four late 20-somethings who actually found success with musical talent: constant touring, creative difference and probably drugs.

Well, not only do the drugs don’t work but it seems the drugs are now behind them, as is indifference because in anticipation for their album Forth due August 19, they have made available the video for their first single “Love is Noise.” Though it features a more up-tempo, dance-catchy sound, fret not for the band still holds true to their earlier rock-infused identity. Packed with swooping arial shots of snow-capped mountains, slow motion make-outs amidst explosions and even a Rubens Tube the video recaptures their legacy left, with a breathe of fresh head-bopping to boot.
