Van Morrison Keeps It Simple

It’s a marvelous night for a moondance and a wonderful Spring to release a new CD. Or at least that’s what pop legend Van Morrison thinks. The singer-songwriter will release eleven songs specifically written for a new album entitled Keep It Simple. That’s simple as in Morrison simply has one of the smoothest set of pipes I’ve ever heard.

According to NME, Keep It will drop on March 17th along with a crop of his older records, which will receive a spiffy reissue. Most people seem to only remember his mega-hit “Brown Eyed Girl”, but I actually prefer his work on Astral Weeks. Throughout the CD’s eight songs, Van truly uses his voice as an instrument, gently traipsing through different ranges with ease and an understated confidence.
