Always a crowd pleaser, Weezer has headed into the studio and recorded a few crowd-pleasing Christmas favorites for a new iPhone game Tap Tap Revenge. Of the reported six tracks, only “Oh Holy Night” has been confirmed, but front man Rivers Cuomo described the other five as “the classics.” I guess my favorite ode to St. Nick, Cyndi Lauper’s “Early Christmas Morning”, won’t be making an appearance.
According to Billboard, the Blue Album band also plans to release a number of tracks which barely missed album inclusion. The songs reportedly span Weezer’s entire career. The disc will be entitled Odds & Ends but has no release date tentative or otherwise.
In other Weezer news, the band is currently trying to snag Spike Jonze to shoot a video for “The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived.” Click here to check out Jonze’s video for “Buddy Holly.”
