The couple made the announcement on the website friendsorenemies.com Thursday: “We are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes – it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us.”
Let me get this straight, Ashlee Simpson of MTV’s The Ashlee Simpson Show, sister of Jessica Simpson from MTV’s Newlyweds, considers her engagement to be a very private matter? Besides the fact that she announced it on the internet, the world’s gossip queen, is it just me who finds it hard to believe MTV will not be promoting a show in the fall or spring about the couple? My bet is the couple weds in the middle of Times Square on New Year’s Eve.
