Yoko Ono Meddles With Lennon's Legacy

Well, at least it’s up to Yoko Ono, or so she thinks. The unattractive, aging former widow of John Lennon has filed a lawsuit demanding singer-songwriter Lennon Murphy stop performing under the stage name Lennon. Good idea, Yoko. I’m going to shoot James Brown’s estate an email telling them they should ban any performers with the last name Brown from using it as a moniker.

According to TMZ, Ono called the copywrite Murphy took out “fraudulent” and a “tarnishment” to her late husband’s legacy. Really? People are pretty stupid, but I highly doubt anyone would think less of The Walrus after hearing someone who happens to share his name. For the record, not all living Lennons are quit this foolhardy, as son Julian has given Murphy his blessing to go forward with her current title.
