For the second time today, I’m reporting on an album Uncle Sam will cockblock me from buying. Josh Homme and his traveling band of mercenaries, Queens Of The Stone Age, have put in motion a wild scheme in which they will re-release Era Vulgaris with bonus tracks–but only in Canada. What the fuck, Canuck(s)?
According to Pitchfork, the limited edition will feature covers of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding”, Elliott Smith’s “Christian Brothers”, and Brian Eno’s “Needle In The Camel’s Eye.” Oh yeah, plus nine more live tracks. This settles it; I’m joining my neighbors to the Great White North. I’m not even a huge Queens Of The Stone Age fan, but universal health care, regular hockey coverage, and snowmen in May are more than enough reasons. Here’s the full track listing...
