Bourne 4 Being Written

By Josh Tyler: 2008-10-17 01:33:15
Bourne 4 Being Written We knew it was happening, but now Bourne 4 is moving forward in earnest. HR reports that Universal has hired George Nolfi to begin writing a sequel to The Bourne Ultimatum, a fourth installment in the Matt Damon starring, Bourne spy franchise.

Nolfi also wrote Ultimatum, not only the best movie of the franchise so far but easily the best action movie of 2007. Even better, both Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon will indeed be back, Damon as Bourne and Greengrass as the most underrated director working in Hollywood.

This Bourne movie may still however, end up being significantly different from the others. The first three movies were loosely based on a series of books by Robert Ludlum. There is a fourth book, but it wasn’t written by Ludlum and back in June, producer Frank Marshall indicated they’d ignore the fourth book and go their own direction with the series. At the time, he hinted that Bourne may be skipping out on his European locales for a trip to South America, and if previous talk turns out to be true, they should start shooting it this coming summer.
