Marc Forster is the guy who made Monster's Ball and Finding Neverland, but then again, he's also the guy who made Quantum of Solace. Moral of the story is you never know what to expect from this guy. For his next project he'll be taking an even harder turn into action than with the latest James Bond movie, directing a remake of the Korean action movie Die Bad.
The Hollywood Reporter says the original film consisted of interlocking stories about a gangster and gang violence. The gangster story will probably actually be quite different from the Bond movie, which is action-heavy but packed with the kind of action set pieces that gangsters usually don't have time for. Forster has shown such a wide range in his work so far that I'm completely confident he'll bring the goods to this one as well.
