If you're a young, blonde actor looking for work right now, you may want to consider tracking down Kenneth Branagh for lunch. The director of the upcoming Marvel superhero movie Thor was spotted having lunch in L.A. with blond giant actor Alexander Skarsgard, and now rumor has it that Skarsgard, obviously, is being groomed to play the mythical superhero.
Even the site reporting the rumor, Latino Review, admits it's sheer speculation at best. But they're right that Skarsgard is the right build for the character, and given that he's the son of Stellan Skarsgard, he may have genetically inherited the right acting chops. You can see his acting right now on HBO"s True Blood or previously on Generation Kill. Any fans want to pipe in and tell us if he's got what it takes?
But again, this is as rumory as a rumor gets, and don't get on our case if Skarsgard is nowhere near in the running and just happens to be pals with Branagh. It's all about the fun of the speculation, not any actual belief that this casting will come to pass.
