After my difficult experience last night with DisneyNature’s new planetary documentary earth, it’ll probably be a long time before I willingly walk into another theater expecting elephants. But maybe I can get interested in diving into the world of the Little Mermaid.
Next year on Earth Day, Disney’s planning another nature-themed theatrical release. This time they’re focused entirely on water, with the documentary Oceans. Unlike earth, there’s a chance that this one may even contain new footage. Hopefully they’ll at least have the sense not to re-use that same, Planet Earth shark jumping slow-mo. The first trailer for Oceans is currently playing in front of earth, but you can watch it in high-res over at Apple, or embedded below:
