With no more Lord of the Rings movies, my holidays were empty and meaningless last December. With no elves, orcs, or other fantastical creatures on screen to help guide my imagination, I felt dead. Forget Christmas, forget spending time with family; I want to escape into a fantasy world that makes me forget about the people I have to see the other 364 days of the year dammit!

Well, this holiday season my dreams will come true again with the film adaptation of the first book of The Chronicles of Narnia, or at least the first book in the series when I was a kid: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (apparently they’ve changed the order of the books since I was young to reflect the chronology of the series).

To remind me of the gleeful time I will have escaping from friends, family, and (shudder) Christmas shopping comes the stand-up display for The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, which will hopefully be greeting me the next time I enter my local theater. I want to see that giant lion’s head as a reminder of what the true meaning of the holidays are. In the meantime, check out the picture below to see what the display looks like.
