TMNT Voice Cast Revealed We’ve seen the trailers, but Warner Bros. has otherwise been content to leave us in the dark on their upcoming animated Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles movie. Today, USA Today got the scoop on who will provide the voices for most of the film’s characters.

The good news is that nobody you know will voice Donatello, Rafael, Leonardo, and Michalangelo. They’ve gone with non-name voice actors for the parts, and saved their celebrity voices for ancillary characters. Zhang Ziyi for instance, will voice the film’s villain Karai (pictured to your right). Apparently she’s the leader of the Foot Ninjas, which begs the question: What happened to Shredder?

Also in the cast is Sara Michelle Gellar as the voice of April, Fantastic Four star Chris Evans has hockey-stick wielding Casey Jones, and Clerks director and Cinema Blend reader Kevin Smith in a cameo as a greasy-spoon chef. Somewhere in the mix is also Patrick Stewart, as sort of a secondary villain. He plays Max Winters, a tech industrialist who has put together an army of monsters. They say this movie will pick up where the live action movies left off, with the turtles reuniting to fight Winters. So if you’re a fan of the old rubber suit turtles, don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten you. Is that a good thing?
