Downloading Panic

discussioncomments published: 2004-07-26 00:00:00 Author: Joshua Tyler
See, it’s times like these I wish CB was such a successful site that I could afford perks like jet setting around the country to attend silly things like comic book conventions. It isn’t, so I’m sitting here with all of you surfing the internet for scraps from San Diego.

Amongst the most important things we’re all missing, the most important is a great deal of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy hullabaloo (Yes, even more important than giving Episode III a name so Lucas can sell T-shirts). Some folks at Comic-Con saw the first teaser trailer today… as well as the teaser poster for which IGN FilmForce managed the blurry pic to the right, but thanks to the wonders of papa internet, so can you!

The first teaser for HHGTTG is online in blazingly crappy avi format, for which you must have downloaded a DIVX codec first in order to watch it. Jet setting would have been so much easier.

Anyway, here it is, crappy format and all. It’s very sci-fi looking (moreso than I expected) but still proudly emblazoned with those friendly words “Don’t Panic”. That’s what’s really important.

If they don't work, Click here to download a DIVX codec. Even Real Audio isn’t this much of a pain.

Simultaneously in Hitchhiker news, the official Hitchhiker's Blog has added a new and mysterious image to their photo gallery. We have actual production people! Zaphod's spare head can't be far behind. The image is posted below.
