It’s unclear whether or not Soul Men actually deserves all the hype it’s currently getting. One recently deceased, largely beloved figure in the film would have been enough to have us seeing the film through rose colored glasses, but Soul Men contains two. All hope of audience objectivity should probably be thrown out the window, at least for now. Maybe some time after the world has seen it and gotten over the losses, Soul Men will start to find its place in the world. Until then, hey we have pictures from the movie Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac did together before their death!
