I don’t know about all of you, but I’m getting pretty sick of referring to Indiana Jones IV as Indy 4 or Indiana Jones 4. How about a real title Spielberg? An Indiana Jones movie just isn’t an Indiana Jones movie without the word “and” after “Jones”.
Dave Davis, who has upped his respectability and joined the staff of JoBlo says he might know what they’re planning to call it. He says a fairly reliable source tells him it’s being called Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods. And why not? God seems to be one of Indy’s most frequent opponents. In Raiders he found his Ark, in Last Crusade he had to spell out God’s name in order to find the Holy Grail. It fits.
Whether or not this will be the actual title that ends up on screen and on movie posters remains to be seen. Even if this rumor is spot on, Davis points out that this could just be a temporary title they’re using to throw all of us off track. But at least we’ve got something and it’s not Indiana Jones and the Phantom Menace.
