Now that they’ve got the casting of Bruce Banner out of the way (he’s being played by Ed Norton), Marvel Head Avi Arad is out and talking about their brand new movie version of The Incredible Hulk. The guys over at Collider caught up with him at a press junket, and here’s what he had to say about what separates this Hulk movie from that other one that everyone insists (wrongly) isn’t any good:
Arad says, “It's a new Hulk, new direction, new size, new color, new attitude. Anything that was done before is not in this movie. It's a very different kind of Hulk. It's more of a love story; it's more of a heroic Hulk. It's a kind of Hulk we loved in the show, so it's kind of more influenced by the show than anything else. It's very human, very touching, and huge action. Louis Leterrier has a unique filming style that will be great here and it’s going to be spectacular.”
Wait, new color? Granted, in the comics there have been nearly as many Hulk colors as there have been Kryptonite colors for superman. But green is the color we really associate with the Hulk and it’s the color everyone kind of expects him to be. Besdies, Arad says it’s influenced by the show, and in the show they spray painted Lou Ferrigno green. The Hulk is green, isn’t he?? Apparently not.
Meanwhile, a website which no one has ever heard of called Hollywood Grind claims Jessica Biel has been added to the cast. They offer no reason to believe them, other than a paparazzi shot of Norton and Biel walking past a bush. Wait for a more official confirmation on that.

Louis Leterrier said in a Q & A months ago that he would be green "of course". So I imagine it's just not the same shade or the same look. Perhaps there will be a hint of grey at the end.
