Look I will admit it, I have been incredibly skeptical when it comes to the new James Bond film. No matter how much I might like Daniel Craig (And I refuse to give into the backlash. Go back and watch Road To Perdition and Layer Cake) a blond James Bond has about as much appeal as a blond Batman (Remember the Kilmer). That, coupled with the trendy Paul Haggis script and the dubious idea of making a “prequel” or reboot (because Batman Begin’s did it and made money), have left a bad taste in my mouth. Seriously James Bond’s continuity is so screwed up that its simply foolish to think it can be sorted out by going young. All this has led me to really not looking forward to the new James Bond film. Warren Zevon’s lucky he died before all this crap.
All of that said, the new trailer for Casino Royale which just hit the internet is pretty badass. Pure Bond baby. Check it out for yourself over at AOL's Moviefone. While we all know the trailer might not mean anything (in fact it probably doesn’t), I’m more then willing to give the movie a fair shot after seeing this.
