1000 Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Showings Already Sold Out![]()
It’s a bad time to be Paul Haggis. His excellent new film The Next Three Days is being released this weekend, and I’m pretty sure that absolutely no one will notice. They won’t notice because it’s up against Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and with the Potter franchise winding down there’s not a serious moviegoer anywhere who isn’t planning to be in attendance. Except, well, unless you already have a ticket you may soon be out of luck.
MovieTickets.com has informed us that more than 1,000 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 screenings are already sold out, all across America. And they’re still selling like crazy. With a little less than a week to go before the movie’s released, Potter tickets account for 92% of all ticket sales on their website. That sellout number is bound to keep climbing higher as the week progresses. If you don’t have your Deathly Hallows tickets yet, get on the move. On the other hand maybe this is good for Haggis. If enough Potter showings sell out people will be forced to see The Next Three Days when they show up to the theater and meet Potter viewing disappointment. If that ends up being you, don’t worry. Sure it seems strange to dress up as Dumbledore and head out to a Russell Crowe movie, but Next Three Days is worth your time.
