15 Second Preview Released For Oliver Stone's Savages
The new annoying trend in Hollywood is to have trailers for trailers. Over the past few months we've seen it done with movies like Prometheus, Total Recall, The Avengers, and Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and they just keep popping up. Now we have the latest one, but what's interesting about it is that it doesn't give any indication that a longer trailer is on the way.
MTV has gotten its hands on a 15 second spot for Oliver Stones' Savages, his new film due out this summer. Because it's so short its somewhat hard to get a narrative sense of things, but I will say this: this looks like Stone's most intense film since Natural Born Killers, and that was all the way back in 1994. Scope out the new preview below and keep your eye out in the coming days/weeks for the full trailer.
Based on the novel by Don Winslow, Savages follows two small time pot dealers (Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch) who are faced with the fight of their life when their shared girlfriend (Blake Lively) is kidnapped by an extremely dangerous drug cartel. It becomes up to them to save her. The adaptation was written by Winslow along with Shane Salerno and John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch, and Demian Bichir are attached to co-star. The movie comes out on July 6th and you can read more about the title in our Blend Film Database.
