It wasn't long ago that we heard Jurassic Park IV might not be coming along as fast as originally indicated. Now, producer Frank Marshall has spoken out and kind of confirmed what had already been rumored: That JP 4 is pretty low priority for Spielberg. That doesn't mean it won't happen, it just means it might take awhile.

Marshall spoke to the London Free Press and assures that they have "a good script now." Hopefully this version is free of the commando dinos rumored to be hanging around in some earlier versions. Whatever is in this one, they're in no rush to producer it. He says, "we should have that one up and running next year for release in 2008." That means they'll probably start production a year or more from now, or at least that's their intention.

A lot can happen in a year, so don't be surprised if it gets pushed back again or they end up going with an entirely different script.
