Roland Emmerich has a new disaster movie. This time the Earth won’t be destroyed by super-storms or angry saber-toothed tigers. Instead, it’s the Mayan calendar that’s out to get us.

The plot of 2012 is still mostly unknown. All we do know is that the Mayan calendar runs out in 2012, and when it does apparently a lot of really bad things happen. In the new trailer, we see one of those bad things, which seems to be the ocean overflowing some mountains, while a rather unconcerned monk stands in its path and rings a bell.
