2014 Golden Globe Nominations Announced image
The parade of Oscar precursors continues this morning. Following the reveal of the SAG Award contenders, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has revealed its selection of nominees for the 2014 Golden Globes ceremony … and it’s a round up of the usual suspects.

Gravity, American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave were well-represented in the Movie categories at the Globes, which divides its "wealth" among dramas and comedies each year, allowing them to have more celebrities in the room. (It makes for a better telecast. You’re welcome, NBC.) Because there is a Musical/Comedy category, unlikely Oscar contenders like Frances Ha and Enough Said also woke up to Golden Globe nominations this morning.

The full list of nominees is below. Keep it here on CinemaBlend all day today as our top-notch Movie staff responds to the Globes nominations with passionate pieces defending a few selections, questioning a few omissions, and basically having fun with the loosest, most-carefree stop on the awards-season marathon.
