I think I’m starting to understand why, after all the anticipation, Fanboys is getting such blah reviews. Take these three clips we have from the movie below. The first one involves Ethan Suplee as Harry Knowles quizzing the kids on Star Wars trivia as a way to prove their geekdom. Except it’s mostly pretty easy Star Wars trivia. Ok maybe my Mom wouldn’t know it but at least half the guys I know, even the non-geeky ones could probably take a stab at telling you who directed Episode 5. Hardcore Star Wars trivia questions shouldn’t be something you can answer by spending two seconds on an IMDB pgae. I mean really, that’s the best questions they could come up with?

Watch all three new clips from Fanboys below. They’re all pretty mediocre. It’s mostly kids pulling of the same “use my Jedi powers to see tits” bit that’s been in most of the clips from the flick so far. I’m still looking forward to seeing it, but hardcore geeks should definitely be approaching Fanboys with lowered expectations.
