30 Minutes Of Tron Legacy To Be Shown At Tokyo International Film Festival![]()
Thanks in large part to the test footage screened at last year's Comic Con, the wait for Tron Legacy has felt like an eternity. Still not premiering for another three months, the film ranks among the most anticipated in the last half of 2010. If you don't think you can make it that long, however, you might want to head on over to a travel website and book a flight to Japan for next month.
Variety reports that, as a part of the Tokyo International Film Festival, Disney will unleash 30 minutes of 3D footage of Tron Legacy next month. Scheduled to be shown on October 23rd, the House of Mouse hopes that the special event will drive up ticket sales in the island nation. A similar stunt was pulled by Avatar last year and led to the film taking in $180 million during its run in the country. Can you not live without immediate Tron satisfaction? Do you have $1000 burning a hole in your pocket? I would book right now. Meanwhile, I will try and devise a way to get Cinema Blend to send me to Tokyo. Let the planning commence! |
