40 Year Old Virgin Filmmakers Try Being Super Bad

40 Year Old Virgin Filmmakers Try Being Super Bad Apparently movies about desperate teengers trying to have sex or oversexed teenagers trying to kill each other for having sex with other teenagers is Hollywood's favorite fad. If it's not a ridiculous line of direct to DVD American Pie movies it's the absurd John Tucker Must Die. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the comedic minds behind The 40 Year-Old Virgin have decided its their turn to take a crack at it.

Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen, co-collaborators on Virgin will team up again, this time with Apatow producing and Rogen in the writer's chair alongside Evan Goldberg. The title of the movie? Super Bad.

The plot follows two high school guys (played by Jonah Hill and "Arrested Development"'s Michael Cera, both pictured at right) who feel compelled to have sex with someone before they go off to college. Deciding it had better be with girls, the two do their best to get their hands on some alcohol believing the stuff will somehow make it easier to subsequently get their hands on the ladies.

As the night wears on and their desperation grows, interest in getting laid is overshadowed by the realization that leaving each other to go off to college is more than their co-dependent relationship can handle. These two don't need sex, they need therapy.

The project is being fast tracked with intentions to start filming this fall. A summer 2007 release date is likely not far behind.
