With both excellent reviews and strong Friday grosses, it’s shaping up to be a wonderful weekend for Disney’s all-new animated feature Tangled. The modern day take on Rapunzel has been gushed over by most and may come close to hitting 70 million during its initial five day gross. Just a few years ago experts were counting Disney’s animation department out for what felt like the fiftieth time, but the studio keeps churning ‘em out. They may not all be Snow White’s, but both Tangled and The Princess And The Frog are damn good times at the cinema.

It’s moments like this that are worth celebrating. With every new success comes a brief window to smile and fondly look back. Tangled is Disney’s fiftieth animated feature, and to celebrate, the masters of wonderment have put out a short look back.
