The freshly formed Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for what looks like it'll be their first movie released under the Weinstein Co. banner. The movie is Derailed, and while the concept isn't especially gripping for some reason the pairing of Jennifer Anniston and Clive Owen is.

If you can ignore King Arthur, Clive's been making some really interesting film choices lately, anything he's in is worth at least a look. He's best when he's playing someone morally ambivalent, a good guy willing to get down and dirty. I think that's why I loved him in Closer so much, even if the rest of the movie kind of stunk. His character had that sort of duality, a good man, a respectable doctor, but a dirty as hell pervert.

Like I said, I'm not sure why that combination with Anniston is so interesting to me, but in the story of an affair gone horrible wrong I like it. Anyone whose seen The Good Girl knows that Anniston can act, at least a little. Were Anniston playing Clive's jilted wife I'd be right out, but with her playing against type as a sexed up mistress… this is a movie that could really work.
