The more I see of The American, the more excited I get. The indie movie stars George Clooney as an aging assassin hiding out in an Italian village and preparing for his last ever assignment, while contemplating the things he’s done.

The movie’s first trailer was thoughtful and visually arresting. The movie’s first poster is classically cool. But this new trailer seems to be going for something more high-octane. It’s short, less than a minute long, and full of guns. It’s still good.
