A Mummy Slayer Falls![]()
The on-going production saga of The Mummy 3 continues. This time actor Oded Fehr told IGN.com that his character, Ardeth Bay, will not return to the silver screen in the third flick.
“I have no doubt that there's going to be a third one,” Fehr said while pretending to fight off C.G. mummies. "I spoke to the director of the first two — Stephen Sommers who wrote and directed them. As far as I know, I'm not involved. My character is not involved in the third one. Though, I'm sure it'll be great. If they did ask me to do a third one, I would gladly do it. The movie will forever be very close to my heart, and it's very much a part of me being an actor." The Mummy 3 production has had a sorted past. Earlier last month, we reported grumblings that the sequel was in trouble (read that here), which led to Universal contacting us directly to assure us that the fun-filled film is on track (read that here). While Fehr’s news hardly supports either side, it is definitely an indication that the latest Mummy might be taking a new direction. Not to fear Fehr fans. He swapped fighting mummies for zombies in Resident Evil: Extinction, which opens on September 21. |
