Alright, listen up Transformers fans. There’s no real news coming forward on the sequel front yet, other than the fact that Michael Bay has some writers locked up in a hotel suite somewhere pounding out a script. So we’re going to report on any little tidbit we can get our hands on. Kind of like this tidbit.
Main Line Today, a Philadelphia real estate guide magazine, currently has a story about the movie industry’s growth in Philadelphia, specifically reporting about Sharon Pinkenson, the executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. While it brags about Pinkenson’s accomplishments, there’s a mention that Transformers 2 may be filming soon in the Main Line area.
That’s really all the details that are given. The sequel is on a list of films set to start recording as soon as June, alongside M. Night Shyamalan’s Avatar, although there’s no guarantee that the movie will be approved (they’d be fools not to, however). I wish we had more news to report, but when we’re reduced to getting news from a real estate guide, we have to take what little we can get.
