AMC Still Showing All 10 Best Picture Nominees On Feb. 27 image
Once a year just before the Oscars, you don't have to travel to a film festival to see a buttload of movies with a ton of other movie nerds to keep you company. That's when the AMC Theaters chain schedules special marathon screenings of all the Best Picture nominees, given some particular movie masochists the chance to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Reader back to back.

And this year, the marathon is getting twice as intense. AMC has confirmed in The Hollywood Reporter that they will indeed show all 10 Best Picture nominees, in special event screenings on February 27 and March 6. The difference this year seems to be that you can select from amongst the 10 at special discount rates, instead of buying one ticket to the full marathon screening. Given that the collected 10 Best Picture nominees probably clock in at at least 20 hours, it will certainly be a select few who do the full set.

AMC tosses in free popcorn and drinks to passholders, so what's stopping you from following up The Blind Side and Up with the bleak Godlessness of A Serious Man? AMC will be releasing more details as the events grows closer, so stay tuned for details.
