I’m one of the few people who didn’t think Alien vs. Predator was the anti-christ, but even I don’t have much hope for the sequel: Alien vs. Predator: Survival of the Fittest. We had a first look at an image from the sequel back in January here, and now a few more teaser pics from the film have popped up at Design Studio Press.
Apparently DSP is putting together a book showcasing the creature effects of AVP 2 and they’re trying to get people interested early by showing off the little snipped to your right. They’re keeping most of it under wraps though, so this image is all you get. For more details on their upcoming book though, click here.
So far, I haven’t seen anything in any of these stills that has done much to get me excited. But it’s still early. If there’s a silver lining to the sequel it’s that Paul “Not the Good One” W.S. Anderson has been replaced as director by a couple of visual effects guys named Colin and Greg Strause. They’ve been promising and old school feel that’s heavy on hardcore, gore-filled action. Maybe they can do what the bad Anderson could not. Or maybe they’ll be even worse. It’s not like the first movie left them much to build on. Good luck staying positive about AVP: Survival of the Fittest, fanboys.

Ive said it once and Ill say it again, people WANT TO SEE THESE TWO FIGHTING IN SPACE. Ive always wanted to see an Alien movie where people are on a ship, and theyre trapped and Aliens are running around, then Predators show up and start killing the Aliens... sweetness. Whats up with the freaking underground ppyramid... it wasnt a horrible movie, but it was a lame premise... lets bring it back to the future (no pun intended).
