AVP2 Vid Promises Rated R Horror!
There’s a video circulating around on YouTube right now which shows off Reelz Channel’s recent visit to the set of AVP2. I’ve dropped the video below all this text for you, but don’t click play expecting to see actual footage from the second Alien Vs. Predator movie.
Instead, their set visit focuses on an interview with co-directors Greg and Colin Strause. What’s interesting isn’t what you’ll see in the video, but what they have to say. They insist that even though the first Alien Vs. Predator was a watered down PG-13, this one will be an all out, R-rated, horror movie. But that’s only part of the good news. The Strause boys talk about what they think made the original Alien and Predator movies work so well, and about how they’re going to incorporate it into the movie. Here’s the thing… I think they actually get it. Paul W.S. Anderson screwed the whole AvP thing up pretty royally in the first movie, I think everyone can agree on that. I didn’t hate the movie as much as so many others seem to, I had a little fun with it, but it certainly wasn’t up to snuff with the material on which it’s based. Could the second movie actually get it right? Greg and Colin are pretty convincing. Watch the vid: |
