You’ve probably seen one of the previous trailers for The Last Airbender before this and thought it looked kind of good, but you ain’t seen nothing yet. Hot on the heels of Paramount’s announcement that they’re converting the film into 3D comes a new trailer which, as if to justify their decision, blasts eye-popping special effects all over your screen.

The film is based on the popular anime series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" about a boy named Aang who can control the elements. We’ve seen hints of his powers before but in this trailer, Aang lets fly. Every frame is packed with the movie’s pint-sized hero pulling off spectacle-driven super-powered moves. In almost every scene he’s freezing water, blasting people back with air, and leaping around like he’s entered the Matrix. I’m still not sure it needs to be in 3D, but 2D or 3D this is suddenly a movie I have to see.
