Actor Spotted On The Set Of The Dark Knight Rises Could Suggest Huge Plot Point
Today seems to be all about DC Comics. Earlier this morning our own Katey Rich released her review of Green Lantern, and not one but two casting stories for Zack Snyder's Man of Steel found their way online just a little while ago. Now it's the Caped Crusader's turn, and this one might be huge.
***MEGA HUGE SPOILER WARNING: For the love of God, if you don't wish to know about crucial The Dark Knight Rises details I suggest that you turn back now and forget that this story even exists***
For those of you that are still with us, HitFix has learned from an unnamed source that Liam Neeson was spotted on the set of Christopher Nolan's final Batman film. Neeson, of course, played Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins and with Josh Pence previously cast as a younger version of the character there has been much speculation as to whether or not Neeson would reprise the role in the finale of the trilogy. The site reached out to Warner Bros. for comment, but the studio explained that it is "not policy when it comes to the Batman films that Nolan and company make."
This, of course, doesn't necessarily mean that Ra's is back from the dead. It's entirely possible that they are simply doing another flashback sequence. If Ra's is back from the dead, however, it introduces a whole new dynamic that Nolan has purposefully been leaving out since he started working on the franchise. With the secrecy surrounding the production it's unlikely that we'll know any more details about the situation until next July when the film comes out.
