Adrien Brody Joining Woody Allen This Summer In Paris![]()
Woody Allen is busy premiering his newest movie, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, over at Cannes, but all the pieces for his next project are already falling in place on their own. THR reports that Adrien Brody has become the latest big name to join Midnight in Paris, Allen's next film that will be filming this summer just a hop, skip and a jump away from Cannes, in, yes, Paris.
Only one adjective is used to describe Brody's role, and it's a hilarious one: "flashy." This instantly makes me think of Brody's character in the Sundance comedy HIGH School, a completely insane and terrifying drug dealer, but something tells me that's probably not what Woody is aiming for. The film stars Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams, presumably as the central young American couple who visit Paris and, like all young couples in Paris, start thinking life over there might be better. Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen and France's first lady Carla Bruni are all on board as well. I can't quite see Brody as playing a suave Frenchman who convinces Owen Wilson to move to Paris, but god if that's what this role is, we're all in for a treat. |
