Affleck Just Isn't That Into You![]()
A couple of years ago you couldn’t move an inch without hearing something about Ben Affleck or “Bennifer”. Now he’s with a different Jennifer (and even has a child), the nickname has passed, and Affleck’s career has even slowed a little. To those who think Affleck is the bomb, that’s a shame – especially after his career high performance in Hollywoodland.
Well, Affleck appears to be returning to the limelight. His directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone comes out later this year, which he also wrote and put in some acting time on. Now the actor is in talks to join He’s Just Not That Into You alongside Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Kris Kristofferson, and Justin Long, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Even with the weight of those other names, Affleck’s should stand out on that movie poster. As we’ve previously reported, the movie is about several interconnecting storylines that deal with romantic relationships and the challenges of misreading human behavior. Affleck will play Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend, while other recent cast addition Kris Kristofferson will play her father. Their storyline is about the stress between Affleck and Aniston’s relationship when the boyfriend refuses to commit to marriage. While I certainly don’t want to see a return to the older days of Ben Affleck appearing in every other movie, it’ll be good to see him in this kind of role again. |
