Love him or hate him, Alexandre Aja is one of the busiest new horror directors working today. His films High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes landed mix reviews, but he shows no sign of slowing down the bloodshed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aja has signed on to direct the horror film Into The Mirror for Regency Enterprises. It’s a remake of the 2003 Japanese film of the same name. The story trails a security guard at a fancy department store, who begins to investigate mysterious deaths happening in front of stores’ mirrors. He soon learns that there are murderous reflections out for revenge.
Into The Mirror is written by Jim Uhls and Joe Gangemi. Hopefully this one will have a better ending than High Tension, which shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Production begins later this year.
