Alan Cumming has become one of those actors that I will go out of my way to watch. From the soulful Nightcrawler in X-Men 2 to his more silly character in the Spy Kids franchise, Cumming is an actor who isn’t afraid to reinvent himself with each role. I’m looking forward to Sci-Fi’s upcoming Wizard of Oz adaptation Tin Man, which features Cumming as a new Scarecrow.
Apparently Cumming is headed into another project inspired by a classic piece of children’s literature, as he heads up Hatter, a story described by Variety as “a riff on the Mad Hatter’s tea party scene in Alice in Wonderland. Although the story has little to do with the famous tea party scene, I'm interested to see what that description winds up looking like on screen.
In Hatter, Cumming will play a secretive fashion designer who is being stalked by a journalist who knows secrets from the designer’s past. The journalist will be played by Rebecca Romijn, reuniting the blue-crew from X-Men 2. The movie is directed by James Killough, making his feature film directorial debut after several shorts.

Alan is an excellent and talented actor, I missed his character in X Men 3, I dont care if there were going to be 3 blue charcters or not. Kelsey Grammer (an inspired piece of casting)as Beast was great and I think audiences could have handled Beast, Mystique and Nightcrawler on the screen together...
