A report from MSNBC of all places has unraveled what may be the real truth behind the three week delay of the new Oliver Stone flick. The report indicates that the delay was neither political, nor Incredible, instead it was.....sexual!

Colin Farrell is no stranger to have a film of his be circumcised due to “mature themes” this year. Upon the release of his summer flick A Home at the End of the World Warner Brothers thought it necessary to cut Farrell’s wee dandy Dublin off...er...out of the film. This MSNBC report indicated that Farrell’s more racier scenes in Alexander had to go too. Most notably the stuff involving Alexander the great and his Persian gay lover. An insider on the production said in response: “Alexander was almost certainly bisexual, and [director] Oliver Stone wanted to portray that...Some of the suits at Warner Bros. think that the movie-going public just isn’t ready to see that. There’s some pretty heated arguments going on over it."

So technically, yes...the delay is political. Damn Warner Brothers. Not that I’m all destroyed over two dudes in togas goin’ at it being cut, it’s just the principle. Forced cuts from the studios are never good. Especially when the studio blatantly assumes what’s best for us as the “movie-going public”. Jesus can get snuffed, the President can be tremendously ridiculed, Dirty Dancing can get a sequel, but oh two men being intimate together.....yeah that’s going way too far! What? C’mon! I mean I can understand the studio big wig homophobia with Kubrick's Spartacus...but that was 44 frickin' years ago! Times have changed, let it be. Let Stone do his job, leave him alone...or he’ll make another long winded three hour movie about a different President.
