It’s still kind of a surprise that Ocean’s 13 is even happening, when audiences and critics seemed fairly disinterested in seeing more after the lukewarm reception of Ocean’s 12. But George Clooney and his pals have so much fun making them they’re determined to make more. Of course the major players in the previous films will return, but the latest casting news on the film is that they may be adding Ali G into the mix.

The guys over at The Movie Blog say Clooney is such a big Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G! Respect!) fan that he wants him in his next movie. He’s not exactly a fit in the ultra-classy Danny Ocean world, but if Sacha uses his Borat character, count me in. Clooney told Sky News that Sacha will play an “oddball” character, which could really be just about anything. Maybe he’ll be Borat, maybe he’ll be Ali G, more likely he’ll be something entirely weird and new.

For Sacha, 2006 is going to be a pretty good year. He’s stepping up from cult fame to big Hollywood roles. This summer he’ll appear in Talladega Nights opposite Will Ferrell, and oh yeah, there’s still that Borat movie of his, based on the popular character from Da Ali G Show in the works.
